For Employers
A recent study of a major international corporation found that employees spent 90 minutes a day, of company time, on Internet pornography. They are becoming addicted to pornography. It is essential to us network hardware to block sexual and social connection sites including Craig's List. Some employees are only flirting on the social connection sites but this too is addictive and time wasting behaviour.
It is also important to provide treatment for employees who are already addicted. Treatment is effective and available for the motivated employee who has a problem with the Internet or sexual behaviour in the workplace. 12-Step attendance and therapy work for Sex Addiction just as they work for alcohol abuse. Mandated treatment works for employees with alcohol problems, and it works for the Internet Sex Addict.
