Jennifer Mitchell, M.A., Registered Psychologist

Jennifer has over 12 years experience as a helping professional and specialized experience working with families of children with disabilities. She began with front line work and moved on to program coordination and management.  Jennifer continues to act as a consultant to families. She is the Co-Director of Kindred Kids Intervention and Consulting Services inc.

Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Alberta and a Master's in Counselling Psychology from City University of Seattle.  She is a Registered Psychologist in the province of Alberta and a Canadian Certfied Counsellor.  Her graduate work was in the area of sex addiction.  She researched the effects of compulsive online sexual behaviour on the female partner of the sex addict.  

In her capacity as a Registered Psychologist, she is Shift Coordinator for the Walk in Counselling Services at The Support Network and also facilitates smoking cessation groups for Alberta Health Services.

She began working and training in the area of sex addiction at Recovery Path Counseling services in December of 2007 and is now an Associate.  Jennifer is dedicated to helping clients with compulsive sexual issues and their partners find recovery.
